Layens hives require specialized equipment due to the size and structure of their frames. This automatic uncapping machine is designed specifically for Layens-format frames, ensuring efficient, precise, and continuous operation in honey houses that work with this horizontal hive system.

Constructed entirely from food-grade stainless steel, the unit combines electrically heated knives with an automatic frame feeder, all controlled via an intuitive digital panel that guarantees stable and safe operation.

Designed for Layens frames – fast and clean cutting

Thanks to their width and thickness, Layens frames require firm feeding and consistent heat to uncap efficiently. The 2 kW heated knives operate at 24 V for safety, reaching optimal temperature in about 20 minutes.

The automatic feeder runs at 9 rpm, powered by a 0.12 kW motor, synchronized with the uncapping system. The machine delivers a throughput of up to 8 Layens frames per minute, ideal for mid- to large-scale honey extraction facilities.

Digital controller and continuous performance

All operations are managed via a digital control panel, allowing the operator to start/stop the feeder, activate the knives, and regulate temperature. The interface is clear, user-friendly, and designed to prevent operator error while offering precise adjustments.

The structure is built entirely in brushed stainless steel, including frame and support. The knives are easily accessible for cleaning after each use, ensuring hygiene and efficiency.
