The structure of a colonial hat creates separation between the face and the veil, while the straw allows more air to circulate than a closed plastic helmet.
Use with a compatible veil that covers the entire area. Check that the brim does not deform when you move and that the mesh stays away from your nose, ears, and neck.
Tilt your head, look up, and crouch down while wearing the assembly. The hat should not rotate or lift the veil closure. Only add an adjustment system that does not create gaps.
This is a lightweight support, not a complete face shield. The veil is not listed as included. Check the straw, band, and closure after they become wet or deformed, and remove the piece if it no longer maintains the required distance.
