2,563 JARS PER PALLET: ABOUT 900 KG OF HONEY | 250 ml TALL-NECK AURA, 74 × 80 MM |
TO70 DEEP, HIGH SKIRT: THE REGULAR TO70 LID DOES NOT FIT | 490 kg THE PALLET, AT 180 G PER EMPTY JAR |
Full pallet of 2,563 Aura jars of 250 ml, the squat tall-neck cylinder in plain glass for 350 g of honey: 74 mm across, 80 high and 180 g empty, about 490 kg of pallet to bottle in the order of 900 kg. The neck is Twist-Off 70 Deep, high skirt: it takes the silver DTO70 lids in a pack of 25 (3150) or a case of 620 (3215), not the regular TO70. No lids; the same jar in a pack of 25 (2429).
The Aura is the jar bought for its silhouette: low, plain and unembossed, it lets the honey be what is seen; what you need to know is that its tall neck asks for a high-skirt lid.
01 · THE JAR
A squat cylinder with a short shoulder and tall neck, clear flint glass with no honeycomb or relief: the honey, from lavender amber to dark forest, shows as it is and the label falls on a plain body 74 mm across and 80 high. The 250 ml nominal hold the 350 g of honey, at 1.4 kg per litre. It works the same with runny, creamed or set honey, and fits any filler with a 60-80 mm cup.
02 · THE NECK
The neck is 70 mm Twist-Off in the Deep version, with a taller thread than the ordinary TO70: the regular TO70 lid, the one for low jars, does not close on this jar. It takes the high-skirt DTO70 lid, which in the house comes in silver: pack of 25 (3150) to try and case of 620 (3215) for the pallet, a little over four cases per pallet. Other high-skirt colours on request. It is the Aura’s only caveat, and the one that avoids ordering 2,500 lids that do not close.
03 · THE PALLET
2,563 jars come palletised and shrink-wrapped: at 180 g each, about 490 kg with pallet and cardboard, to bottle in the order of 900 kg of honey. It is the unit of the own-brand producer or the cooperative bottling one to two thousand kilos a season in a shelf format: freight per jar is far lower than in packs, and glass, kept dry and wrapped, does not expire. It ships by pallet carrier, with truck access and a covered spot to unload. To try the format, the pack of 25 (2429); in the same family, Aura 350 (3313), 370 (3048), 445 (3314) and 720 ml (2040).
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The pallet of jars is supplied without lids; the high-skirt DTO70 lids (3150, 3215) come separately.
