Details of Kit motor for SAF extractors

SAF NATURA ECO motorisation kit with control box and lid safety system for the 525 and 640 mm honey-extractor families.

Its AC motor is rated at 200 W, works through a 230-to-30 V transformer and reaches approximately 350 rpm. It is not a universal motor: identify your extractor and its connections before ordering.

01 · CONTROL

Variable speed and direction from the control box

The ECO panel provides separate controls for power, start/stop, left or right rotation, and increasing or reducing speed. The assembly uses electronic regulation, a clutch/brake and a lid safety device. Reversing is particularly useful with the IBIZA reversible basket; with other baskets it selects direction but does not replace correct frame loading.

02 · CATALOGUE COMPATIBILITY

Nine SAF models in the 525 and 640 mm families

The LTA catalogue associates it with RITMO, REGATA, KADETT and RACING in the 525 mm family, and FUEGO, CARRERA, MITO, MODUS and IBIZA in the 640 mm family. The official manual documents the ECO version for these families, but not as a generic retrofit: bridge, shaft, lid, mounting and connectors can vary between production series.

03 · STARTING AND BRAKING

Change speed in steps, not all at once

The manufacturer instructs the operator to increase or decrease speed gradually, pressing the buttons at intervals of 3 to 5 seconds. Holding a button down can overload the electronic board and make it enter protection mode. Before braking with the stop button or lid safety lever, reduce the speed considerably: hard braking can damage both frames and motor.

04 · EXTRACTOR LOAD

Balance the frames and always keep the lids closed

Place frames of similar weight opposite each other and start slowly. An unbalanced load transfers vibration to the shaft, bridge and drum; if vibration appears, stop and redistribute the frames. Keep the lids closed while the basket rotates and the honey outlet open so the level cannot reach the basket. Do not compensate for cold or very viscous honey by forcing the speed.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

We need the model, diameter and photographs of the drive

Before confirmation, provide the model and approximate year, drum diameter, a photo of the rating plate, another of the upper bridge and shaft, and one of the current control or crank. This allows the mounting, lid safety and connections to be compared with the assembly shown. The complete extractor and installation service are not included; do not assume that adapters or fittings other than those visible are supplied.
