Honey Fragrance for Soap

01 · HOW IT IS USED

Melt, mix, mould

The glycerin base is melted in the microwave or a bain-marie, the fragrance goes in and, if you like, soap colouring. Pour into silicone moulds and in an hour or two it is set.

As with any fragrance, add it gradually and test: correcting upwards is easy, downwards impossible. And the mixture takes honey, propolis or royal jelly if you want a bar carrying product from your own hives.

02 · DOES IT WORK IN WAX?

The question we get, and the honest answer

It is made for soap, and we cannot confirm it is suitable for scenting candle wax. There are two reasons not to assume it: a fragrance not specified for candles declares no flash point, and that is the figure that decides whether a fragrance holds up in a burning candle.

And there is a beekeeping reason: beeswax already has its own aroma, and a strong one, so it competes with anything you add. If your plan is scented candles, write to us before ordering.

03 · WHERE IT FITS

Artisan soap for direct sale

It is the typical add-on for a beekeeper already selling honey who wants to widen the stall with house soaps, without setting up a workshop or handling lye: the melt-and-pour base removes all that.

It combines with soap colourings and other fragrances, so it stretches to a small range rather than a single bar.

It is only the fragrance:
