Sold in pairs. Latex lets you feel the frame and rinses clean in seconds, but it runs large: most people get it right by ordering one size down.

01 · THE SIZE

Order one size below your leather size

Measure the width across your knuckles in centimetres, little finger to index: 9 cm means size 9. With that figure, on these gloves it pays to go one size down — latex gives, and spare finger length costs you the feel you came for. Sizes run from 6 to 11. The forearm elastic is snug: it goes on more easily over the suit sleeve.

02 · FEEL AND HEAT

You feel the frame, but the hand sweats

Thin latex is what lets you part frames, work the hive tool or lift propolis without losing sensitivity, and afterwards it rinses under the tap. The trade-off is that it does not breathe: on a long summer day the hand sweats. And it tears on snags: check the pair before each visit. Like any glove, it reduces stings; it does not remove them.

⚠ LATEX ALLERGY

Do not use these if you have a known allergy or sensitisation to natural latex. Nitrile gloves with a gauntlet cover the same feel-first slot without latex protein.
