01 · WHICH OF THE TWO

«Live animals» or «beehives», depending on who you are addressing

We stock both wordings and they do not say the same thing. «Live animals» is the recognisable phrase for any driver and for anyone who might stop you at a check, beekeeper or not, and it serves if the trailer carries something else alive. «Transporting beehives» names the load and tells the driver behind more. If you are only fitting one and you drive roads with traffic from outside farming, this one usually wins.

02 · STICKER OR PLATE

The same warning exists in rigid form

This is vinyl: it sticks flat and does not rattle, but it needs a smooth surface and stays with the vehicle. If you move hives with different trailers, or the tailgate is tarpaulin or corrugated, the same message comes on a rigid composite aluminium plate, which is fixed on and swaps between vehicles as often as you like.

03 · WHAT IT DOES NOT SOLVE

It warns on the road; it certifies nothing

It is informative signage. It does not replace the paperwork for the move nor the transport, registration or animal welfare requirements that apply to you. Nor does fitting it excuse you from carrying the load properly secured and closed, which is what actually prevents the problem it announces.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

The wording is in Spanish and in this size. Apply it to a clean, dry surface, without covering the number plate, lights or reflectors.
