Details of Pink Line Ventilated Beekeeping Suit with Fencing Veil

A ventilated suit does not protect by thickness: it protects by distance. The mesh holds the outer fabric away from the skin.

Triple-layer ventilated suit in pink, with a fencing-style veil detachable by zip. Five sizes, S to XXL.

01 · THE THREE LAYERS

And why the sting does not reach

The inner layer is a soft fabric worn against the skin; the middle one is a mesh that creates a cushion of air; the outer blends polyester, nylon and cotton to take rubbing and tearing.

The mechanism is in the middle one: that mesh holds the outer fabric off your skin by more than the length of a sting. That is how it ventilates and protects at once, where a suit of fabric pressed to the body does the opposite.

02 · WHERE TO BE CAREFUL

The separation is lost under pressure

The air cushion works while it exists. Wherever the suit is pressed against the body — kneeling, under a rucksack strap, at the seams — the separation shrinks and the protection with it.

It is the same caution as with any suit: do not lean against the hive or press the fabric while bees are on it.

03 · THE VEIL

Fencing style, and off without undressing

It comes with a fencing-style veil, detachable by zip, which is what lets you take it off to drink or talk without climbing out of the whole suit.

There is also a version with an astronaut-style veil, further from the face and with more side vision. It is a matter of preference, not of protection.

04 · THE SIZE

Height first, build second

Sizing combines height and build, so the same height can fall in two sizes depending on the body:

If you are between two, bear in mind that in a ventilated suit the looseness is part of the system: tight, it stops separating. In a tie, take the larger.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

A full suit with veil, made for heat:
