Choose Your Version: This sanitary base comes in two models tailored for Langstroth or Dadant US hives (430x515 mm) with a removable flight board, and a special version for Dadant Blatt hives (430x550x65 mm) with an integrated flight board.
Why is This Sanitary Base a Must-Have for Your Hive?
· Active Defense Against Varroa: Thanks to its deployé metal mesh, mites fall into a removable tray, preventing their return to the hive.
· Simplified Cleaning and Monitoring: The removable tray not only makes cleaning easier but also allows you to assess the effectiveness of your anti-varroa treatments.
· Bee Well-being: Remove the tray on hot days to help your bees maintain an optimal hive temperature.
Mite Monitoring: How Does It Work?
Insert an adhesive sheet into the tray.
Remove it after 24, 48, or 72 hours.
Count the mites and get a daily average to assess the need for additional treatments.
Important Note:
The effectiveness of monitoring may vary depending on your hive's population. For a more accurate assessment, it is recommended to perform this process every two weeks.
