These 25 Twist-Off TO66 lids are designed for GPI 2030 glass mouths.
01 · COMPATIBILITY
Four prongs and GPI 2030 mouth
Check the mouth reference, not just the outside diameter. Before filling, remove any deformed lids and jars with damaged, dirty, or otherwise defective rims that would prevent the sealing compound from adhering properly.
02 · THERMAL LIMIT
Pasteurization and sterilization are not the same
The data sheet states pasteurization up to 100 °C for 60 min. Any sterilization process requires the specific conditions and approval indicated by Tecnocap; this limit should not be extrapolated.
FROM THE APIARY
A Twist-Off does not screw on like a bottle cap: the four lugs ride up a short ramp and the whole closure is a quarter turn. Sit it flat until you feel it settle, turn to the stop and leave it there: carrying on does not seal better, it bends the lug and leaves the jar impossible to open. If it grates or feels like the thread has stripped, lift it off and set it down again — there is no thread to strip, a lug has ridden over its ramp.
