This vapour penetrates brood cells and eliminates Varroa destructor mites on contact, leaving no residues in honey or wax. Signs of thermostat wear

A worn thermostat shows clear symptoms: sublimation takes noticeably longer than usual, white oxalic acid powder remains unprocessed in the tray, or the sublimator shuts off before completing the cycle. If you notice any of these signs, thermostat replacement is the most direct and cost-effective solution before considering more complex repairs to the unit.

Oxalic acid is an organic compound found naturally in honey. Sublimation treatments leave no detectable residues in hive products, making it one of the cleanest methods against varroa mites.
