The RC4554 replacement thermostat is the critical component that regulates sublimation temperature in the Oxavar Provap oxalic acid sublimator.
When the original thermostat loses accuracy, oxalic acid sublimation becomes inconsistent. Replacing the thermostat restores the unit to its original performance.
01 · THERMAL LIMIT
Precise temperature control
The thermostat holds the empty plate at 230 °C, the factory set point. When the dose is loaded it drops to about 205-215 °C, and when it climbs back to 220-230 °C the dose is finished.
02 · DIAGNOSIS
Signs of thermostat wear
A worn thermostat shows clear symptoms: sublimation takes noticeably longer than usual, white oxalic acid powder remains unprocessed in the tray, the sublimator shuts off before completing the cycle, or the display does not climb back to 220-230 °C. If you notice any of these signs, thermostat replacement is the most direct and cost-effective solution before considering more complex repairs to the unit.
03 · HEALTH MANAGEMENT
The medicine sets the regimen
The device authorises nothing: the substance, the dose, the timing and the route are set by the summary of product characteristics of the registered medicine (in Spain, Api-Bioxal powder and Varroxal include sublimation). The vapour does not act on mites in capped brood.
