A white PTFE crucible, spare part for the Oxavar PROVAP® sublimator, in the version without a hole.

It comes with a spare gasket, the other part that tires at the same rate and tends to be forgotten when ordering the replacement.

01 · USE

The part that takes the most thermal cycles

The crucible is where the product sits and where the heat concentrates on every application, so it is the part of the kit that shows use first: it goes from ambient to working temperature dozens of times a season and builds up baked residue on the surface. Once the PTFE is scratched, domed or hard to get clean, heat stops spreading evenly and it is time to change it. Replacing the crucible is a good deal cheaper than replacing the sublimator.

02 · COMPATIBILITY

Check whether yours has a hole

This is the version without a hole. There is an equivalent configuration with an orifice, and they are not simply interchangeable: before ordering, take the crucible out of your kit and look at the base. A ten-second check that saves a return. And on the treatment itself: whatever you apply must be an authorised veterinary medicine, and it is its own label and datasheet that set the dose, the timing and the conditions.
