Conical nylon honey filter, coarse 1000-micron mesh: catches wax, cappings and debris on the first strain after extraction, without clogging. 45 cm stainless steel ring that rests on a bucket or honey tank. Washable and reusable. For the fine finish, 300-micron version separately.
Straight off the extractor, honey carries bits of cappings, wax and the odd bee. This conical nylon filter catches them on the first pass: rest its stainless steel ring on your bucket or honey tank and the honey runs through clean while the debris stays on top. Coarse 1000-micron mesh: filters fast without clogging.
The 1000-micron (1 mm) mesh is made for the first strain right after extraction: it holds back wax, cappings and legs without slowing the flow, just when the honey is at its dirtiest. For a finer finish, follow with the 300-micron filter (sold separately): coarse first, fine after, so you don't clog the fine mesh with the big stuff.
The 45 cm stainless steel ring rests on the rim of the bucket or honey tank and takes the weight of the honey; the nylon cone washes easily and is reused season after season. It's a deep cone: make sure your bucket or tank has enough height underneath so the tip doesn't touch the bottom.
