Stainless steel honey filter tripod, available in 320mm and 450mm, perfect for efficient honey filtering with conical or round filters.
Stainless steel tripod that holds the filter over the bucket or the settling tank, in 320 and 450 mm.
It holds the filter and leaves you both hands free. That is all it does, and it is what you miss when you are holding the cone with one hand.
01 · WHERE IT GOES
The three legs rest on the rim of the bucket or settling tank and keep the filter raised and centred, clear of the bottom. It is stainless: honey is acidic and there is nothing here to pit.
02 · FILTERING GOES IN TWO STEPS
Coming out of the extractor you use a double stainless mesh, which takes out wax and bits; then, before the settling tank, a fine nylon mesh.
With one nuance: straining through mesh is not the «filtered honey» of the Regulation — that one has lost its pollen and gives up its floral origin — and settling in the tank is still needed.
03 · THE TWO SIZES
The filter decides, not the bucket: a cone rests on its rim, so the stand has to sit below that measurement.
If you already have a filter, measure its rim; if not, choose the filter first.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
It comes in 320 and 450 mm. If your filter is another size, ask us which one holds it.
