Food-grade plastic entrance block with side levers and safety stops, designed for ANEL floors. Removable and screwable.
01 · THREE POSITIONS, ONE CLICK
Open, reduced or closed
The side levers move the block with one push and the stops fix it where you leave it. No screwdriver and no lifting the roof.
Reducing is the everyday position at the moments that matter: a weak colony, robbing season or the start of winter. A narrow entrance is easier for the guards to defend.
02 · CLOSING IS NOT SEALING IN
What to check first
The entrance can be closed completely, and that solves a move or a treatment. But a closed hive has to breathe somewhere else: in the heat and without ventilation, the colony smothers on its own warmth.
Before closing, make sure the floor or the roof lets air through. The block closes the entrance; it does not ventilate the box.
03 · FOR MIGRATION, SCREW IT ON
The click holds for daily use
In a fixed apiary the side wings and the flanges are enough to keep it in place. On the road it is another matter: the knocks and vibration of a lorry are a different level.
That is why it can be screwed to the body. It is a minute per hive and it saves finding loose blocks when you unload. The virgin food-grade plastic does not rust or degrade in the sun.
