Spanish only, and worth knowing before ordering

The copy we sell is in Spanish only: it is the translation of the French original, in the latest edition, published at the end of 2019. There is no Portuguese, Italian, English or German version of this edition, and we do not supply it as a PDF — it is a printed book. Gilles Fert is a professional breeder, not a populariser: three decades rearing and selecting queens in the Atlantic Pyrenees, plus work as a consultant and trainer on race selection and conservation projects on every continent. It shows in the book's approach, which gives as much room to what goes wrong — acceptance, introduction, mating — as to the ideal procedure.

It is a good first book for getting into rearing and still serves once you rear: the methods run from simple to technical. If what you want is a general beekeeping manual, this is not it — it goes straight to queens, royal jelly and increase.
