Details of INSTANTVAP® Replacement O-Ring (Pack x 2)
Pack of two original replacement O-rings for the single-dose dispenser of InstantVap® sublimators: Original 18V and 12V, Compact and Turbo. Not for the Lite dispenser. It is the unit’s consumable: the part that wears with heat and acid.
When the dispenser starts sitting loose, the O-ring is the culprit: two new rings bring back the firm fit and the exact charge, and cost less than any other part of the sublimator.
01 · WHEN TO CHANGE IT
Loose dispenser or a dose that no longer repeats
The O-ring seals the 1-4 g dispenser against the body of the sublimator. With heat cycles and acid it hardens, cuts or deforms, and then the dispenser sits loose and the charge stops being the same at every hive. If you notice play or the fit has gone soft, start with the ring before replacing the whole dispenser.
02 · HOW TO CHANGE IT
With the unit cold and no tools
Remove the battery, wait for the unit to cool completely and clean the seat without scratching it. The ring goes in by hand, without twisting or pinching and with nothing sharp; check it seats evenly all round. A drop of mineral oil or grease on the ring extends its life and eases fitting, according to the brand’s distributors.
03 · FOR WHICH UNITS
Original, Compact and Turbo; not the Lite
It is the single-dose dispenser ring shared by Original 18V, Original 12V, Compact and Turbo; the Turbo in fact ships with two spares in the box, and these are the same. The Lite dispenser is different and takes another ring. Changing the ring does not repair a damaged unit: treatment still requires a registered veterinary medicine and respiratory protection.
