2,233 JARS PER PALLET: ABOUT 1,100 KG OF HONEY | 347 ml THE CLASSIC HALF-KILO, 80.2 × 88.8 MM |
TO77 77 MM TWIST-OFF NECK; LIDS SEPARATELY | 400 kg THE PALLET, AT 170 G PER EMPTY JAR |
Full pallet of 2,233 clear glass 12REF jars of 347 ml, the classic cylindrical half-kilo honey jar, with 77 mm Twist-Off neck and no lids: 80.2 mm across, 88.8 high and 170 g empty. About 400 kg of pallet, to bottle in the order of 1,100 kg of honey; TO77 lids are ordered separately in packs of 25 (3151, 3152, 3153, 3154) and the same jar comes in a pack of 25 (2425).
A pallet is not a big purchase, it is a season’s unit: 2,233 jars are 1,100 kg of bottled honey without running out of jars halfway through bottling.
01 · THE JAR
Honey weighs around 1.4 kg per litre, so 347 ml filled to the shoulder are the 500 g the customer expects in a half-kilo jar. It is the plain cylindrical 12REF in clear food-grade flint glass, showing the honey’s colour without ornament and taking a flat label all round the body: 80.2 mm across and 88.8 high, sizes that fit any filler with a 60-90 cup. The same for runny, creamed or set honey.
02 · THE NECK AND THE LIDS
The neck is 77 mm Twist-Off, the most common on half-kilo honey jars in southern Europe, with a regular thread: it takes the standard TO77 lid, not the deep-skirt one. Lids are not on the pallet, on purpose: each customer chooses the design. In packs of 25 there are gold (3154), white (3152), honeycomb (3153) and bee image (3151), all pasteurisable. If you already use TO77, the pallet joins your line without touching anything.
03 · THE PALLET
2,233 jars come palletised and shrink-wrapped: at 170 g each, about 400 kg with pallet and cardboard. It is the unit for the own-brand honey producer or the cooperative bottling in the order of a thousand kilos a season: freight per jar is far lower than in packs of 25 and there are no stock breaks mid-bottling. Stored dry and with the wrap on, glass does not expire. It ships by pallet carrier: truck access and a covered spot to unload are needed; for smaller needs there is the pack of 25 (2425).
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The pallet of jars is supplied without lids; TO77 lids (3151-3154) come separately.
