Details of Safety Lock for 6-Frame Reversible Electric Extractor MALAGA SAF

Original safety closure with limit switch and interlock for the 6-frame reversible MÁLAGA extractor by SAF NATURA, pre-2024 models.

It stops the machine starting with the lid open. It does not brake what is already turning. Worth saying that plainly, because it decides how you work with the extractor. This device cuts the start signal to the controller if the lid is not properly closed; what it does not do is stop a loaded drum, which keeps spinning on its own inertia after the motor is cut.

01 · WHAT A LIMIT SWITCH IS

And why it is called an interlock

It is a switch tripped by closing the lid. Until it is, the HE-01V controller gets no signal and the extractor does not start: that is the interlock, and it is the same principle as on any machine with accessible moving parts.

It earns its keep above all when several people are working in the honey house and not all of them are watching the same drum. You still have to wait for the drum to stop before opening; the device covers the start, not the stop.

02 · ONLY MÁLAGA BEFORE 2024

And that date is a real cut, not an approximation

It is compatible exclusively with the SAF NATURA 6-frame reversible MÁLAGA built before 2024. The model changed that year and the parts are not interchangeable between the two.
