Bee brush with dual row of natural horsehair and dark wooden handle. Dimensions 45 × 7 cm — the professional standard brush for honey harvest and intensive frame handling. The dual row doubles the sweep area, so it clears bees from a full frame in a single clean stroke instead of several passes. For beekeepers with 30+ hives harvesting several supers in a row and needing rhythm.

🐎 Natural horsehair — no damage to the bee

Natural horsehair is the standard veterinary material for brushing — the firmness needed to sweep bees stuck to the comb without breaking wings, legs or crushing them. Stiffer synthetic bristles can damage the bee on the sweep and also build up static electricity that agitates them; natural ones do not. Dual row: two parallel rows of bristles, multiplying coverage per stroke — key in harvest, when emptying the frame quickly and cleanly is what matters to bring it to the uncapping bench without delay.

🪵 Dark wooden handle — durable and visible

The dark wooden handle has two advantages over plastic: it lasts more years without chipping or breaking when dropped on the apiary ground (a well-treated brush lasts decades), and it is more visible against grass and hive wood if it falls during handling. The 45 × 7 cm dimensions are standard — the 7 cm width covers 2/3 of a Langstroth/Dadant frame top bar in a single stroke.

💡 BR11 or BR01 with spatula?

The BR11 (this model, € 8) is the pure brush — only brushing, maximum efficiency for harvest. The BR01 with spatula on the tip (€ 10.70) adds extra functionality: the spatula serves to unstick crown boards and separate glued supers while you carry the brush in your hand. Useful if you save carrying two tools. BR11 if you only brush — BR01 if you want 2 in 1. For delicate tasks or queen rearing, prefer the single row (C001231).
