Details of Dextrose 25kg

Powdered dextrose monohydrate in a 25 kgbag, intended for formulating energy feed for bees when an assessment of stores justifies it. This is crystallised glucose and must be treated as a raw material: it supplies carbohydrates, but is not a complete feed by itself and does not replace an assessment of stores, flowering, water and colony health.

⚖️ Formulate and weigh every batch

First define the purpose —stimulation, maintenance or replenishment of stores— and use a known formula, weighing every ingredient. Prepare only the quantity that can be fed and stored correctly. If mixing it into syrup, dissolve it fully and record recipe, date and lot so that the result can be repeated or any problem investigated.

🌡️ Control heat, acidity and hygiene

Do not subject syrup to prolonged heating or add acids without a justified formulation: time, temperature and acidity promote the formation of HMF. Use clean water and containers, avoid fermented residue from earlier preparations, and discard any mixture with foam, an unusual smell or signs of deterioration.

🍯 Feed without compromising the crop

Adjust the ration to colony strength and its capacity to consume it. Avoid spills and reduce the entrance if robbing is a risk. Do not feed during a commercial nectar flow or while supers intended for harvest are on the hive if syrup could be stored alongside the honey.

📦 Keep the powder dry

Keep the bag tightly closed and protected from moisture, dust and odours. Use dry, clean utensils and retain the identification and date of the received lot. If the product cakes, changes smell or shows visible contamination, do not add it to the formulation.
