Plastic floater spare part for ANEL division frame feeders, Dadant Blatt and Dadant US (refs AN30002 and AN30002US). Fits inside the feeder slot and prevents bees from drowning when they climb up to drink the syrup. Sold as a single piece: the complete feeder takes two, left and right.
Plastic floater spare for the Dadant Blatt 4 kg (AN30002) and Dadant US 4 kg (AN30002US) division frame feeders. A complete feeder uses two —left and right— and these are the only thing keeping syrup separate from the bee: if one cracks or warps over the years, the colony starts losing foragers to drowning. Single piece.
The floater rises and falls with the syrup level and keeps a surface for the bee to climb on and drink without falling into the well. If your feeder has a couple of seasons on it and you're seeing more dead bees than usual, it's usually floater wear, not a health issue.
This part is one floater: a complete feeder takes two. It snaps into the ribbed slot in the feeder body with no screws or glue. If both floaters are tired, order two units to bring the feeder back to factory.
