SEPARATE POT

Electric outer kettle for melting beeswax in a water bath in small batches. The WarmMaster® vessel heats the water while a compatible inner pot holds the wax, distributing heat without placing a direct flame under the material.

This distinction prevents the main buying error: 27 litres is the approximate capacity of the outer vessel, not 27 litres of wax. The compatible 12-litre stainless-steel wax pot, wax thermometer and cover ring are sold separately.

01 · SETTING UP THE BATH

Water in the outer vessel; wax only in the inner pot

Place the empty appliance on a level, stable, heat-resistant surface. Insert a compatible wax pot and add water to the outer vessel, allowing for displacement and keeping the level safely below the wax. Remove the inner pot to correct the level if necessary; never improvise around a hot unit. Load broken-up wax without filling the pot to its rim, fit the lid whenever the process permits and connect the plug only after filling. Never run the appliance dry, and do not pour beeswax directly into the enamelled outer vessel for this application. Check the water level throughout longer sessions.

02 · ACTUAL WAX TEMPERATURE

The dial controls the bath; a separate thermometer checks the wax

Beeswax commonly melts at approximately 61–65 °C. Apply only the heat needed for the job and measure inside the wax with a suitable thermometer, keeping its probe away from the bottom of the inner pot. The indicator first goes out when the setting is reached and lights again as the thermostat cycles; this alone does not prove that the entire wax load is at one uniform temperature. Melting, clarifying and pouring may call for different working conditions. Avoid keeping wax hotter, or hot for longer, than necessary because excessive thermal exposure can darken it and change its aroma and quality.

03 · SAFETY AND CARE

Monitor the water, steam and power lead throughout the process

Use an earthed socket and keep the plug and lead dry. Never leave the appliance operating unattended, move it while full or add water to a vessel that has boiled dry while it is still hot: sudden steam can cause scalding. Open the lid away from the operator and prevent water or condensation from entering molten wax. When finished, turn the control fully off, unplug and let everything cool before removing the inner pot, emptying or transporting the unit. Do not immerse it for cleaning. Rinse the inside, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth, avoid sharp or abrasive cleaners and descale regularly, then rinse thoroughly.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

This is a water-bath kettle, not a complete melter or steriliser

The base unit includes the heated outer vessel and plastic lid, but not the inner wax pot, thermometer or ring that covers the bath. The pictured version also has no outlet tap or built-in timer, so it needs supervision and the molten wax is handled from the separate inner pot. Its 36.5 cm diameter and approximate 50 cm height require a clear worktop; the published empty weight is about 5.7 kg. A maximum setting of roughly 90 °C melts beeswax but does not validate sterilisation, remove varroacide residues or turn the appliance into an autoclave. Suitability for soy wax, resin, depilatory wax or other mixtures has not been documented.

GOOD FITYou melt small beeswax batches and will use a separate inner pot and thermometer.
CHECK FIRSTYou have an earthed supply, room for Ø 36.5 × 50 cm and a compatible pot.
NOT INCLUDEDWax pot · thermometer · cover ring · outlet tap · timer.
