Metal blind entrance closure, 145 × 40 mm, to fully close the hive entrance. Galvanised finish and 3 holes to nail or screw it on.
The blind entrance closure is a metal plate that fully closes the hive entrance. With no slots or opening for the bees, it blocks the entrance when you need to: closing a hive to move it, taking it out of service or preventing access. It is nailed or screwed over the entrance through its holes and stays firm.
A 145 × 40 mm plate with a galvanised finish that withstands the weather without rusting straight away. It has three holes (one at each end and one in the middle) to fix it with nails or screws onto the wood. Standard size: it fits where your old one was.
Being blind, it blocks the entrance completely. Great for an empty or out-of-service hive. If you use it to transport with bees inside, always ensure ventilation elsewhere (a screen or top mesh): with the entrance closed and no airflow, the colony suffocates.
