Details of Beehive vertical divider adjustable

ANEL vertical partition for dividing a Langstroth brood box laterally. It occupies one frame position and can be used to adapt the working volume to the colony population, organise a brood area or create two sections within the same box. The main component forms a vertical wall, but on its own it does not close every passage between the two areas.

🐝 Reduce the volume occupied by the colony

Place the partition after the last frame you wish to keep in use. By limiting the lateral space, you concentrate the colony in a volume suited to its strength and keep the remainder of the box separate. Review the arrangement as population, brood, stores and the season change: a partition cannot remedy a weak colony on its own.

⚠️ The upper passage depends on accessories

With the partition alone, a passage may remain above the wall. Preventing the queen from crossing at the top requires the ANEL accessory AN51401-4. If worker-bee traffic must also be separated, use the upper closure AN58001. Selecting the correct additional component is essential before attempting to create two independent compartments.

🚪 Separate entrances require further components

To manage each section with its own access, ANEL provides an entrance closure AN51670 and a side entrance AN51676. These components are not supplied with the partition sold here. Before introducing bees or queens, assemble the complete system and hold it up to the light to check for unintended gaps.

🔧 Installation and inspection

Seat the partition like a frame, with the lugs correctly positioned and the lower edge close to the floor. Check that the box is not distorted and that the partition remains vertical. Inspect periodically for propolis deposits, movement and open passages, particularly after transporting the hive or changing accessories.
