Stainless steel rest that hooks onto the side of the hive and holds the frames hanging while you work through it.
It solves the moment when you have three frames out and nowhere to put them that is not the ground.
01 · DURING THE INSPECTION
Frames in sight and off the ground
It hangs from the side edge and holds the frames suspended beside the box. You gain room inside the hive to part and turn the rest without squeezing, and the frame you have just taken out stays in view instead of resting on grass, soil or an upturned roof.
It is what prevents the damage you do not see: wax crushed against the ground, and propolis picking up grit that later goes into the extractor.
02 · THE MATERIAL
Stainless, because it lives outdoors
Stainless steel takes dew, rain and a wash without rusting or staining the woodwork, which is what a painted fitting ends up doing after a couple of seasons.
Clean it by scraping wax and propolis off without levering on the hooks.
03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
It is made for fixed hives: check the side edge of yours before using it. And do not load it with more frames than the rest will hold comfortably, above all with full ones.
