Detalles de Economy Wax Press

After uncapping, that pile of wax soaked in honey is more valuable than it looks. Cappings retain 25–30 % of their weight in honey — if you’ve extracted 100 kg, that’s 4–5 litres still trapped inside. It’s not just money; it’s respect for the bees’ work.

This manual press solves the problem the traditional way: a central screw applies gradual pressure, squeezing the honey through the perforated drum while leaving the wax compact and nearly dry. Built entirely from food-grade stainless steel, it’s strong, hygienic and built to last.

Beyond cappings
Ideal for natural combs from Warré, Kenyan or top-bar hives that can’t be spun in an extractor. Pressing yields raw honey rich in pollen and propolis — a premium, unfiltered product.

It’s also great for old brood combs. Press first, then melt: the wax will render faster and cleaner, and you’ll recover darker honey suitable for feed or personal use.

Usage tips

• Keep cappings at 25–28 °C for optimal flow.
• Never exceed 35 °C to preserve enzymes.
• Apply pressure slowly: quarter-turn, wait 10–15 minutes, repeat.
• Place the press over a 30–50 L bucket or ripener.

The resulting wax is nearly dry, won’t ferment or attract ants, and melts easily in a solar wax melter.

Versatile use
Also suitable for olives, grapes, fruits or cheese. Stainless steel resists acids and cleans easily — a multipurpose tool for all seasons.

Technical specs: drum diameter 23.5 cm • total height 55 cm • weight 6–7 kg • fully dismountable • fits 30–50 L buckets.
