01 · COMPATIBILITY

Four prongs and visual inspection

Confirm the mouth reference and inspect each lid before use. Discard units with dents, bent prongs, or damage to the sealing compound, and jars with a marked rim.

02 · THERMAL LIMIT

Pasteurization limit

Tecnocap documents up to 100 °C for 60 min. The final process requires validating the food, jar, lid, pair, filling, and headspace. Sterilization requires different conditions.

03 · DECORATION

Decoration does not replace labelling

Keep the legal information on the label and maintain the traceability of the lids. Store them between +5 and +35 °C, dry, and with a maximum relative humidity of 70%.

FROM THE APIARY

A Twist-Off does not screw on like a bottle cap: the four lugs ride up a short ramp and the whole closure is a quarter turn. Sit it flat until you feel it settle, turn to the stop and leave it there: carrying on does not seal better, it bends the lug and leaves the jar impossible to open. If it grates or feels like the thread has stripped, lift it off and set it down again — there is no thread to strip, a lug has ridden over its ramp.
