01 · USE

Two ends, two jobs

Angled end (lever). The hook shape lets you brace against the side of the brood box to lift frames glued with propolis, break the seal on an crown board that has been down all winter, or separate a super from the brood box without wrecking the timber.
Straight end (scraper). Sharpened blade perpendicular to the handle, ideal for scraping wax and propolis residue off frame top bars, crown boards and the top edge of the box. Also works cleanly to cut wax bridges between super and brood before splitting them.

02 · HANDLING

Central ergonomic grip — the difference from a plain American tool

The classic American hive tool is solid steel with no handle: compact, but slippery the second a drop of honey hits it. This model fits a plastic ergonomic grip with anti-slip ribbing, fixed with three rivets — no play, no movement, and it keeps its bite even with gloves soaked after twenty inspections in a row. The transverse ribs seat under your fingers and spread the load when you are leaning on the lever.

Stainless steel — built to last decades

Blade in stainless steel. No rust from sweat or from oxalic acid treatments that end up staining any carbon-steel tool.
