01 · WHAT IS INSIDE
Eight trades in one fist
It gathers hammer, pliers, nail puller, file, saw, knife, screwdriver and adjustable wrench. Folded it fits the pouch, and the pouch goes on the belt — which is where it has to be to be of any use.
The wooden handle grips well with gloves on, which is the real working condition in an apiary.
02 · WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES
The day's small repairs
What breaks in the field is always the same: a nail working out of a frame, a loose screw on a stand, a roof that has lost a rivet, a cord that needs cutting.
Fixing it there and then is what stops damaged equipment piling up in a corner «for when there is time». With this on your belt, the repair gets done and forgotten.
03 · WHAT IT IS NOT
A multi-tool is a compromise
It is worth saying: none of the eight functions matches the separate tool. The saw does not replace a handsaw nor the wrench a set of spanners. That is not its league.
Its value is in weight and size: it is the one you always have with you, not the one you use at the bench. For the workshop, workshop tools.
