Full pallet of 4116 V370 glass jars with a Twist Off TO 77 finish: 370 ml, about 500 g of honey per jar, wooden pallet included.

Four thousand one hundred and sixteen jars are over eight hundred kilos of glass. That is the first sum, because it decides how it arrives and where it gets unloaded.

01 · THE PALLET ARITHMETIC

Two tonnes of honey in jars

Each jar takes 370 ml, which in honey is about 500 g at 1.4 kg a litre. With 4116 jars, the pallet covers packing on the order of 2,000 kg of honey. It is a packer's format, not a retail purchase.

02 · TO 77, AND NO LIDS

The finish you have to order separately

The finish is Twist Off TO 77 and the lids are not included: bought separately, in that size. There is a plain version and decorated ones — worth deciding before the pallet arrives, not once 4116 jars are in the store.

03 · HOW IT TRAVELS

A lorry, and somewhere to unload

Each jar weighs 200 g and measures 81 × 93.85 mm, so the whole thing goes past 800 kg of glass, on an included wooden pallet. At that weight it ships by lorry, not by courier: plan where it will be left and how it comes off.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

A full pallet: 4116 jars. The TO 77 lids go separately and are worth ordering at the same time.
