This stainless steel funnel has been specifically designed for the Dana filling machine, making it practical and fast for filling small batches of honey. With a 10-litre capacity (holding between 10 and 15 kilos of honey, depending on density), it allows honey to be poured by gravity, avoiding the need for hoses and priming, which significantly speeds up the filling process.
Stainless steel 10-litre funnel that sits on the Dana bottling machine and feeds it by gravity, with no pump and no hose.
Ten litres of honey are about fourteen kilos. That is the first sum, because that weight sits on the machine.
01 · BY GRAVITY
You fill the funnel, open it and the honey runs into the bottler on its own. For small batches that beats setting up the circuit, and above all it lets you change honey in a minute: lift it off, wash it, in goes the next.
02 · WHAT SITS ON TOP
At 1.4 kg a litre, full it comes to about 14 kg resting on the bottler — hence the maker's stand (ref. 110044).
Not a decorative extra: it spreads the weight and keeps the flow steady as the funnel empties.
03 · THE HONEY HAS TO RUN ON ITS OWN
There is no force here but gravity: if the honey is thick or starting to crystallise, it will not come down. Bring it to the right point beforehand, with the usual ceiling — above about 40 °C the heat is paid for in HMF.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
It is an accessory for the Dana bottler. Budget for the 110044 stand too, which holds it up.
