01 · YOUR GATE, MOVED BY A SERVO

A stainless steel arm on a 20 kg servo motor

The arm screws onto the slide of your gate and moves it both ways. The scale sits underneath, on a stainless steel base plate with a non-slip mat and a removable weighing surface where the jar rests. The whole assembly arrives built and calibrated from the factory.

The working range runs from 30 to 2000 grams, so it covers everything from a tasting jar to a 2 kg pack on the same setup, with nothing to change.

02 · WHAT IT DOES ON ITS OWN

Individual tare, automatic start and five jars in memory

It detects that you have set down an empty jar and starts filling without you touching anything. It tares each container separately, so weight differences between jars from the same box do not end up in the contents, and it stores five jar types with their weight and size so you can switch between them without recalibrating.

It has adjustable overfill, an audible confirmation of each operation, a daily and a total counter of honey packed, its own calibration and permanent memory: you switch it off and the next day it carries on where you left it. Everything is handled on a 2,8 inch colour screen.

And that is where the time is won: while the machine fills, you cap and label the previous jar. It is not that it fills faster, it is that you stop waiting.

03 · WHAT IS IN THE BOX

The whole support and two clamps for 36 to 54 mm

You get the servo mechanism with all its fixings, the stainless steel arm, the base plate with its mat, the removable weighing surface and two clamps covering gates from 36 to 54 mm in diameter. Two things stay outside the box: the tank with its gate, which you provide, and the drill.

If your gate falls outside that range, the maker builds larger clamps to order. That is a question to ask before buying, not after.

04 · WHAT IT DOES NOT FIX

It moves the slide, it does not press it onto its seat

Plastic gates end up with their nuts working loose from so much opening and closing: play appears between the slide and the body, and honey starts to seep through unless you push it shut by hand. The GrifoTech does not solve that. Its arm moves the slide, but the sealing is still done by the gate and its own adjustment.

It is worth saying in full: automating the gate multiplies the opening cycles, which is exactly what creates that play. If yours already seeps, tighten or replace the gate before mounting the machine on it.
