01 · IT NEEDS NO PRIMING

And it does not break if the tank runs empty

A gear pump has to be full of honey before it will draw, and if the settling tank empties without anyone noticing, it runs dry and suffers. A peristaltic has no such dependency: it draws from the first turn and can run empty without damage.

In a room where the tank runs out halfway through a transfer, that difference stops being theoretical very quickly.

02 · LOW REVS, NO FOAM

The visible problem of pumping is air

Working slowly and without an impeller, the pump does not whip air into the honey. Foam is not a cosmetic problem: it is a layer you have to skim off the tank, and if it gets bottled it leaves a white ring at the top of the jar.

The direction of rotation reverses from the control panel, so at the end of a run you can push the honey left in the hose back into the tank instead of losing it.

03 · THE MAINTENANCE IS A TUBE

You replace the part that wears and that is it

On a peristaltic the only wearing part is the tube, and changing it takes minutes. There are no gears to true up and no seals to replace, and cleaning comes down to the tube itself and the fittings.

It arrives assembled and ready on a stainless steel trolley with its control panel, from which the speed and the direction are set. Single-phase motor of 0.55 kW.
