01 · WHAT EACH PART HOLDS

The ring on top, the bucket below

The top ring takes the cone filter and keeps it centred and steady while you pour; the base houses the empty bucket right underneath. That way the honey falls vertically and not over the rim.

The dimension that decides compatibility is the filter diameter: 32 to 33 cm. A smaller cone slips through the ring and a bigger one will not seat.

02 · THE HEIGHT

Up to eighty centimetres, and for a reason

It adjusts up to 80 cm, and that is not a whim: the bucket has to fit underneath — a 25 kg bucket is around 40 cm — and above it you need room to tip the settling tank or the extractor without raising your arms over your shoulder.

Matching the height to the bucket you actually use is what stops the dripping down the outside at the end of every pour.

03 · THE STAINLESS

It cleans the way it should

The whole stand is stainless steel: honey is acidic and this is the place where it spills by definition. It comes apart, washes in hot water and leaves no trace.

It is the piece that gets wettest and is looked after least in the whole workshop, and it still lasts whole seasons.
