Open stainless-steel honey strainer with an approximately 46.8 cm basket and support arms for resting it directly on drums or settling tanks.

Container capacity does not determine the fit. Measure the outside rim: the documented support range is 50 to 63 cm.

01 · COMPATIBILITY

Measure the rim: it must fall between 50 and 63 cm

Measure the outside diameter exactly where the arms will rest. The listing associates the strainer with 200–400 kg tanks, but this is only a guide: two vessels of equal capacity may have different diameters. Seat the arms fully, make sure the basket cannot rock and keep the honey outlet unobstructed.

02 · FILTRATION

0.83–0.87 mm mesh for coarse particles

The declared aperture is 830–870 µm. This is an open straining stage for holding back cappings, wax fragments and other visible particles while transferring honey. It does not lower moisture, sterilise honey or make an out-of-specification batch compliant.

03 · WORK AND CLEANING

Do not let a loaded basket become the bottleneck

Pour at a controlled rate and spread the load over the surface. Stop the transfer before wax covers the mesh and causes an overflow. Remove residue with a suitable scraper, wash with warm water and a detergent compatible with the food process, rinse and dry completely before storage.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Confirm diameter, headroom and required filtration grade

The basket is approximately 468 mm in diameter and 160 mm high. Allow enough room to set it down, lift it out and empty it without striking the tank. If a finer finish or pressurised inline filtration is required, this open strainer does not replace a dedicated second stage. One supported strainer supplied; tank and pump not included.
