Details of Mobile CO₂ Anesthesia System

Portable CO₂ anaesthesia unit for handling the queen in instrumental insemination, with a fine regulating valve.

What you are buying is control of the flow. The CO₂ itself is a commodity: the capsules are the standard siphon format. What cannot be improvised is dosing it slowly and repeatably, and that is what the fine valve on this unit is for.

01 · THE FINE VALVE IS THE MACHINE

And the magnet is what keeps it still

The regulating valve lets you open the flow little by little instead of giving a burst of gas. On an insemination bench, that progression is the difference between working with the queen at the right point and going past it.

The adapter sits on a magnetic mount with an adhesive disc that sticks to the bench and holds the assembly. That is what stops the tube pulling on the setup just when both hands are busy. The whole system is self-contained: no large cylinder and no installation.

02 · THE CAPSULES ARE SIPHON ONES

iSi® 16 g format, easy to replace

The pack includes 10 capsules of 16 g in the iSi® format, the same as kitchen siphons. That means the consumable does not tie you to a supplier: it is on the shelf in any kitchenware shop.

One thing worth knowing before ordering: the capsules are pressurised gas and their transport is restricted, so check with us whether they travel with your order. The unit works just as well with capsules bought locally, and in many destinations that is the practical route.

03 · VENTILATE THE ROOM

CO₂ displaces air, and you do not notice

Carbon dioxide is heavier than air and gathers low down with no smell and no colour. In a small closed room, working with pressurised gas for hours calls for ventilation, even in small amounts.

And for the gas to reach where it has to, you need the way in: an anaesthesia needle or a hole in the queen holding tube. It does not come with the unit, and without it there is no working.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Genuinely portable, with two things to confirm.

✓ FITSInsemination benches with no gas installation: iSi® 16 g capsules and a magnetic mount.
⚠ CHECK THE CAPSULESPressurised gas has restricted transport. Ask us whether they travel with your order; they are replaced in any kitchenware shop.
✕ THE WAY IN IS NOT INCLUDEDYou need an anaesthesia needle or a hole in the queen holding tube, and it is not in the pack.
