8-frame medium super for fixed hives (Dadant US / Langstroth)

This medium super is tailored for fixed hive setups compatible with Dadant US and Langstroth systems with 25 mm thick walls. Its compact format stacks easily above the brood chamber, providing extra honey storage during peak nectar flows. It comes fully assembled with 8 wired straight frames measuring 48 x 16 cm.

A galvanised metal frame spacer is included to ensure consistent spacing between the frames. This helps maintain airflow and prevents the combs from being joined irregularly. It’s especially useful during high-intensity blooms such as eucalyptus, blackberry, or thyme.

The body is built from solid maritime pine wood (Pinus pinaster), 25 mm thick, using a tongue-and-groove joint system for increased durability and resistance to deformation. The wood is naturally dried to 12% moisture content and left to rest for a year before assembly. No chemical treatments are applied. A phytosanitary heat treatment is performed to ensure product safety for both bees and honey.

Its external dimensions are 51.5 cm long x 43 cm wide x 17 cm high, making it fully compatible with standard fixed hive setups. It integrates smoothly with existing brood chambers and hive covers.
