Langstroth Hive Without Super (Brood Box Only) with Hygienic Screen Bottom

Some days in the apiary you notice it instantly: you lift the lid, everything fits, no wobble, no weird gaps, and the wood just feels “right”. This is a complete Langstroth setup focused on the brood box, with a hygiene-friendly base. It’s a solid starting point for beginners, but also perfect if you want a dependable brood chamber for splits, requeening, building up before a flow, and then adding supers later.

The box is made from Galician pine (Pinus pinaster), 25 mm thick, carefully dried to 12% moisture to stay stable over time. It’s protected with a linseed oil finish (no chemical treatments), and the wood also gets a phytosanitary heat treatment for extra durability and resistance to pests, without putting anything “questionable” near bees or honey.
