VA: from molten wax to cut foundation

The VA800 solidifies wax between cooled rollers and cuts the ribbon to the required width and length. Forming, embossing and cutting take place in one continuous process. The VA Mini belongs to the same casting family with a more compact installation.

Cast foundation is less flexible at low temperatures than rolled foundation. This matters alongside hourly output if sheets will be stored or handled in a cold room. Useful manufacturing width is not the full roller length: allow margins for edges and cutting.

BM and HA: make the ribbon, then emboss the cells

The BM450 produces plain wax ribbon and winds it into rolls. It does not produce embossed foundation on its own. It is combined with a semi-automatic roller machine, which embosses and cuts the ribbon. Consider this route when you want rolled foundation and separate control of that processing stage.

Cooling water is part of the installation

Both processes need a molten-wax supply and cooling. The VA station also requires compressed air. Final selection depends on the sheet dimensions you intend to produce and the services available in the workshop; buying only the ribbon machine leaves an essential stage incomplete. When processing your own wax, identify batches from incoming material through to finished foundation.
