01 · THE MEASUREMENT THAT COUNTS

The body of the jar, not the mouth

People talk in lids — TO 63, 66, 82, 89 — but what has to go into the well is the body of the jar, which is almost always wider than its mouth. The figure to check is the maximum glass diameter: 90 mm.

That takes the usual formats from 330 to 900 ml. If you have an unusually shaped jar, measure it across its widest part before ordering.

02 · WHY THEY DON'T BREAK

Deep, separated wells

The six individual wells are what prevent the real problem in transport: it is not the braking, it is the jars knocking into each other. Kept apart and deep enough, they neither wobble nor scratch.

And it saves material: with the basket there is no need to wrap each jar in paper or plastic to take them to market.

03 · WHERE IT'S USED

From the car to the stall

It is made for direct selling: fairs, markets and home deliveries. It fits behind a seat and is carried one-handed by the handle, even when loaded.

It is reusable season after season, which is the difference from the bag that tears on the third trip.
