The rough relief isn't just aesthetic: it forms a thick, compact layer that seals the timber far better than smooth paint. It hides open joints, nail marks and machining defects with no need to sand or fill beforehand. The texture also disguises day-to-day wear at the apiary, so your hives keep a clean look for much longer.

🛡️ Outstanding exterior resistance

Formulated with modified vinyl resins that withstand natural ageing, rain, UV radiation and sudden temperature swings. Built-in antifungal protection slows the appearance of mould and other biological agents on the wood. The low water absorption combined with vapour permeability lets the timber breathe without soaking through — critical for avoiding condensation inside the hive during winter.

💡 Apply with a roller, like a facade coating

Apply with a facade roller or textured roller, just as you would any exterior textured coating. A brush or wide flat brush is only for finishing off: corners, handle grooves and spots the roller can't reach. On very smooth surfaces, a first coat diluted 20-25% with water is recommended as a grip primer. The second coat goes on undiluted, thick, with cross-hatched strokes, finishing upwards to even out the relief. Surface dry in 4-5 hours, 12 hours between coats. Avoid applying when rain is forecast.
