And what you notice before it breaks

It carries the motor's torque to the drum, and on a reversible extractor it does so while reversing direction on every cycle, which is what punishes it. The warnings are new noise, snatching on start-up or loss of power with the drum loaded.

It usually turns up when you strip the machine for the end-of-season clean, which is the moment to look at it even if it is not giving trouble.

02 · Ø 70 OUTSIDE, 16.9 INSIDE

Those are the dimensions that decide the fit

It goes in the SAF NATURA MÁLAGA 6-frame reversible, whose drum is Ø 900 × 800 mm. Machined steel and keyed, so it seats firmly and does not slip under reversing torque.

The maker's sheet says «about 48 teeth», approximately. A gear has the teeth it has: if you are matching it to another part of the train, tell us and we will confirm the exact count.

03 · CHECK YOUR MACHINE'S YEAR

Because the MÁLAGA changed in 2024

The other parts in this family — the safety closure and the control-panel board — are for the pre-2024 MÁLAGA only, because the model was rebuilt that year. This sheet does not say.
