01 · BEFORE YOU SPEND THIS

Check the ten-euro part first

An extractor that «has stopped and will not start» has more than one possible cause, and they do not all cost the same. The cheapest is the lid detector: if honey gets into the plunger and the stem stops returning, the machine believes the lid is open and gives the motor no power. That microswitch costs under ten euros.

It is worth ruling out first. With the machine unplugged, press the plunger with a finger and check that it springs back. If the lid responds properly and the box still will not drive the motor, then yes — the board is the suspect.

02 · UNPLUG IT FIRST

And take the photo before touching a single wire

The swap takes minutes, but it is done with the machine disconnected from the mains: there is supply voltage inside that box. Opening the panel with the machine plugged in is not an option.

Then the order that never fails: a phone photo of the wiring on the old board, disconnect, fit the new one copying exactly the same position for every wire, and close up. The photo is what turns a delicate job into a trivial one.

03 · 2010-2024: AFTER THAT, ANOTHER BOX

The extractor's name does not separate the eras

This board belongs to the SAF Eco motor line, the grey or black ones fitted to Regata, Ritmo, Racing, Kadett, Fuego, Ibiza and similar machines built roughly between 2010 and 2024.

The same trade names carry on in the catalogue with different electronics from 2025, which no longer take this board but a different complete control box. That is why the extractor model is no use for deciding: you have to look at the part.

04 · COMPARE YOUR BOARD WITH THE PHOTO

It is the only check that counts

Before ordering, open the control box and compare the board you have with the one in this product's images: component layout and terminal positions. If it matches, this is the right reference.

And a maintenance note, because the fault almost always comes from the same place: an extraction room is damp, steam and airborne honey. The control box appreciates being kept properly closed and not left open through the season.
