INTERNAL FLOAT VALVE

ANEL continuous bee waterer that controls the level with a float valve and feeds water to an absorbent outer band.

It connects to a mains supply or header tank, avoiding the need to refill an open container every day. Bees drink from the damp surface rather than a deep pool. The hydraulic connection is not specified: hose and adaptors must be confirmed separately.

01 · HOW IT WORKS

The float replaces only the water that has been used

The inner reservoir receives water from the mains or a tank. As the level falls, the float opens the inlet; once the working level is restored, it closes it. This provides a steady supply without normal overflow, provided the unit is level and the pressure is suitable.

02 · DRINKING SURFACE

An absorbent band replaces an open pool

A valve carries water to the absorbent material around the vessel. Bees drink from this damp surface, with less risk of falling in and drowning than in an open bucket. Cleaning is still essential: remove algae, sediment and debris, and replace the band if it no longer wicks correctly.

03 · INSTALLATION

Set it level, shaded and before water becomes scarce

Place it on a firm horizontal base near the apiary but away from traffic. Commission it before peak heat so the bees can establish this water source. Check for leaks, contamination and overheated water; drain it where freezing is possible.
