NICOT entrance feeder: it brings the syrup to the entrance via a 1 kg jar, which is not included.
A flat piece resting on an entrance of at least 8 mm high by 40 mm long. Use the compatible NICOT container.
01 · HOW TO FIT IT
This NICOT feeder delivers syrup to the hive entrance using a 1 kg PAL jar. The jar is not included and must be purchased separately.
Place the feeder flat or at a slight angle over a hive entrance at least 8 mm high by 40 mm long. Ensure it does not tilt and that the bees' passage is not blocked.
02 · THE JAR AND THE DRIP
Use the compatible NICOT container. If mounted with a lid, the data sheet indicates drilling 1 mm holes. Perform a drip test outside the hive before installation.
03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Restricted access can help, but it does not prevent robbing on its own. Do not spill syrup, adjust the entrance to the colony's strength, and feed at the end of the day and outside the commercial harvest.
| ✓ FITS | Controlled top-ups to a hive or nucleus, without opening and with the jar you already use. |
| ⚠ DO A DRIP TEST | Outside the hive and before fitting. Restricted access helps, but it does not stop robbing on its own. |
