It uses nothing but solar heat to melt wax from cappings, old frames or raw wax pieces. No electricity, no gas, no smoke. Ideal for warm and sunny seasons, particularly between spring and early autumn, when it can consistently reach wax melting temperatures above 64 °C.

How it works and why it's useful

The entire structure is made of stainless steel for maximum durability, corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. The sloped design ensures that molten wax flows naturally into the included mold placed at the bottom outlet.

The lid is built from double-wall polycarbonate, forming a thermal chamber that acts like a mini-greenhouse. It captures and retains heat effectively, even on partly cloudy days or late in the season.

Inside, a perforated rotating tray allows you to load loose cappings or wax pieces directly — no frames needed. But you can also insert Langstroth, Dadant Blatt or Layens deep frames thanks to the generous internal space.
