Details of Beekeeping gloves cowhide and sheepskin with reinforced fingers

Cowhide back against stings, sheepskin palm for feel, reinforced fingers built to last

These gloves combine two types of leather with one clear purpose: maximum protection where you take the stings (cowhide back) and sensitivity where you need to manoeuvre (sheepskin palm). The first three fingers feature a double leather layer, which is exactly where gloves wear out fastest from pulling, turning and fitting frames day after day. The cotton twill gauntlet extends protection up to the forearm without sacrificing comfort.

🔧 Two leathers, each where it counts

The back of the hand is the area most exposed to stings, so it is made from cowhide, thicker and more resistant to stingers. The palm, on the other hand, needs flexibility and feel: natural sheepskin is thinner and softer, letting you sense the weight of a frame, the edge of a Hoffman end bar as you slot it in, and the resistance of propolis as you prise apart. There is a real difference between working with gloves you can "feel through" and gloves that merely protect.

💪 Three fingers reinforced with double leather

Thumb, index and middle finger do most of the work when handling frames: they grip, pull, turn and slot. They are also the first to wear through on any beekeeping glove. Here they carry a double leather layer, significantly extending the glove's service life without losing mobility. If you inspect 50 or more hives per session, you will notice this reinforcement over seasons of use, not days.
