01 · COMPATIBILITY

A physical sample is more decisive than a chart

The documentation gives a lid range of Ø 45–90 mm, but outside diameter does not define a complete closure. Thread pitch and profile, height, material, stiffness, skirt, tamper band and permitted torque all vary. Supply samples of every jar-and-lid combination, including the tallest, shortest, lightest and most slippery. The trial must confirm centring, correct thread engagement, sealing and the absence of marks or deformation.

02 · OUTPUT

Up to 800 containers/h is a nominal maximum

The published output is not a guaranteed sustained rate for every format. It depends on stable container infeed, correctly presented lids, repeatable torque and an unobstructed outfeed. Changeovers, replenishment, rejected samples and quality checks also take time. Size conveyors, filler, labeller and labour as one line, and agree an acceptance trial using your actual formats and operating conditions.

03 · LID FEEDING

The lid goes on by hand; the machine tightens it

The operator rests a lid on each jar without hand-tightening it and the machine completes the closure. Swienty no longer recommends pairing it with its 110803 automatic lid sorter: with both machines and several lid formats, the adjustment gets too complicated. If you need the lid placed automatically, the option is the DANA api LIDFITTER automatic capping machine with that sorter.

04 · SETTING AND CONTROL

Correct torque is verified, not guessed

Set height, alignment and torque with the final product and closure. Start conservatively and test several units at start-up, after every changeover and during the batch using the method approved by quality control. Too little torque may allow leakage; too much can damage the thread, lid, glass or tamper band. Record format, setting and result so changeovers are repeatable and wear or drift becomes visible.

05 · INSTALLATION AND SAFETY

Fully electric integration without compressed air

The official specification describes a 230 V, 575 W fully electric drive with no compressor. Installation must provide a stable conveyor, guides, suitable working height, guards, emergency stop and cleaning access. Only trained personnel should adjust or service the unit. Before clearing a jam or reaching near moving parts, stop and isolate the supply and wait for complete standstill. Commissioning should verify direction, interlocks and trials with empty and filled containers.

06 · BEFORE YOU BUY

The reference matches, but two documents give different ranges

For item 110804, the older datasheet states jars of Ø 40–110 mm; the current official page extends this to containers from Ø 40 × H 50 to Ø 130 × H 150. The official sheet gives 45 kg, and the revised drawing is approximately 1507 × 902 × 1426 mm with an 850–950 mm working height. The binding quotation must define version, tested range, dimensions and exact scope.
