Perforated stainless steel insert for primary honey filtering in LYSON W2079, W2081 and W2081A heated sumps, trapping wax cappings and comb pieces before fine filtration.
When you open the tap of the heated settling tank and see the honey coming out loaded with tiny wax particles, you know that if you skip a good first filtration, your fine filters will clog after just a few buckets. That is where this stainless steel sieve insert for heated honey sump becomes almost essential.
It is a perforated tray that sits in the honey inlet area of the heated sumps LYSON W2079, W2081 and W2081A. The honey first falls onto this screen, where cappings, comb fragments and coarser wax particles are retained, and only then flows into the rest of the tank for decanting or fine filtration.
The insert is made of 0.8 mm thick stainless steel with 3 mm diameter perforations, a very balanced mesh size: open enough not to slow down the workflow in professional honey rooms, yet tight enough to significantly reduce the amount of impurities reaching downstream filters or the honey pump.
The insert rests directly on the edges of the sump and can be removed in seconds for cleaning. Daily maintenance becomes easier: you empty out the wax residues, rinse or sponge it and it is ready for the next batch.
Approximate dimensions: 40 cm x 23 cm x 12.2 cm. Compatible exclusively with heated honey sumps LYSON W2079W2081 and W2081A.
